Kahana Feld Announces Key Partner Additions Coast to Coast
IRVINE, CA – June 10, 2026 – Kahana Feld is pleased to announce Yvette Davis, Evan Kalooky, Beth Obra-White, Sean Paden, Michael Parme, Jeffrey Schmid, and Julieanne Yanez have joined the firm as partners. Four of these partners are joining the San Diego office, which further strengthens the firm’s General Liability and Construction Litigation practices and enhances Kahana Feld’s ability to serve clients across a broad range of complex matters in the region.
Yvette Davis is based in Kahana Feld’s Irvine office and is a member of the Labor & Employment Counseling and Litigation group. Davis’s practice focuses on defending clients in employment litigation matters including sexual harassment, wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour matters, and claims under the American Disabilities Act (ADA) in both state and federal courts. She advises employers on a wide range of workplace issues, including risk management, human resources compliance, and strategic dispute resolution. Her experience also includes complex construction defect litigation, where she has represented developers, subcontractors, and commercial and residential owners.
Evan Kalooky joined the firm’s San Diego office and is part of the General Liability and Construction Litigation groups. Kalooky focuses his practice on the defense of complex, high-exposure matters involving construction, premises liability, and general liability claims, as well as intentional tort, contract, and employment-related disputes. He represents a diverse range of clients, including contractors and subcontractors, insurance carriers, national and regional retailers, hospitality companies, and other businesses and individuals.
Beth Obra-White joined the San Diego office and is part of the Construction Litigation group. She is an experienced litigator who represents clients in complex disputes across a wide range of industries and advises businesses through every stage of litigation from initial case assessment and pleadings through trial. Her practice includes defending developers and subcontractors in complex construction defect litigation involving commercial and residential projects, representing national retailers and other businesses in high-exposure general liability matters, and advising insurers in coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
Sean Paden joined Kahana Feld’s Irvine office and is a member of the Construction Litigation group. Paden has more than 25 years of experience in construction litigation, personal injury, and general liability matters. His practice is focused on traditional construction defect, mechanics lien foreclosure matters, real property disputes, and subrogation claims. He has experience defending issues including analysis of policy language, covered and uncovered damages, exhaustion issues, California insured Guarantee Association claims, and excess coverage, and additional insured claims.
Michael Parme joined the San Diego office and is part of the General Liability, Construction Litigation, and Business & Commercial Litigation groups. Parme is an experienced trial attorney and represents clients in civil action matters arising from commercial liability and business disputes, employment-related claims, professional liability, and complex multi-party construction and environmental litigation. His practice includes defending businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, in catastrophic bodily injury and wrongful death actions. He also represents product manufacturers, contractors, and developers in multi-party litigation, and he advises businesses in disputes involving breach of contract and business interference.
Jeffrey Schmid joined the San Diego office and is part of the General Liability and Construction Litigation groups. Schmid defends clients in a broad range of matters, including premises liability, general liability, motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death, product liability, and trucking and transportation claims. His clients span multiple industries, including insurance, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and transportation, as well as private individuals. He also has significant experience handling product liability, civil rights and ADA claims, professional liability, insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, elder abuse, consumer warranty, and construction defect matters.
Julieanne Yanez joined Kahana Feld’s New York office and is part of the New York Labor Law and General Liability groups. Yanez represents property owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, and insurers in high-exposure claims arising under New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1), and 241(6). In addition to her litigation practice, she provides strategic insurance coverage analysis and risk transfer evaluation, including structuring and enforcing indemnity provisions, managing tenders, denials, and reservations of rights, and litigating complex risk transfer disputes.
