Tim Capowski is a partner at Kahana Feld and chair of the firm’s National Appellate Litigation & Consulting Group. He has spent the better part of three decades at the forefront of the insurance defense bar. Tim has litigated hundreds of appeals and thousands of motions in state and federal and appellate courts throughout New York and around the country. He handles a variety of complex litigation including catastrophic property and casualty claims, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment law, mass torts, insurance coverage, and more.
Christopher Theobalt is a partner based in Kahana Feld’s New York office. He utilizes his appellate experience in all stages of the litigation process. He routinely attends and monitors New York state and federal court trials and frequently handles post-trial motions and appeals in these cases. He is adept at distilling technical legal issues into understandable legal counsel, and he makes it a priority to keep clients appraised of any developments in their cases.
Sofya Uvaydov, a partner in the firm’s New York office and vice chair of the National Appellate Litigation & Consulting Group, offers clients extensive experience as appellate and litigation strategy counsel. She handles all aspects of litigation, from initial answer through appeals in both state and federal courts. She has been involved in significant litigations including a series of coordinated cases following a catastrophic crane collapse. As a former assistant attorney general, she combines public and private sector experience to provide her clients with sophisticated and well-rounded legal counsel.
