Profile

Sean Dowsing is a partner in Kahana Feld’s Irvine office and is a member of the Construction Litigation and General Liability groups. As a certified Design-Build Institute of America professional and licensed general contractor, Sean advises owners, contractors, subcontractors, and architects and engineers on transactional matters and litigation. He also represents financial professionals in select errors and omissions matters. His litigation practice includes construction defects, breach of contract, changed conditions, delays, subrogation, and professional liability. He also represents employers in Cal/OSHA proceedings and handles general liability and ADA compliance matters across California. 

Sean regularly contributes to leading industry publications and conferences on topics such as risk shifting in design-build contracts, limitation of liability litigation, late bids in federal contracting, and surety liability for false claims. He is also a former Judge Advocate in the California Army National Guard, where he was the chief of contract and fiscal law for the 40th Infantry Division.
