Profile

Ronald Tran is a partner in Kahana Feld’s Walnut Creek and San Francisco offices and is a member of the Labor & Employment Consulting & Litigation group. With over a decade of legal experience as a seasoned litigator and trial lawyer, Ron has first-chaired over 55 cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators. Employers and their leaders rely on Ron to defend them against claims involving discrimination, failure to accommodate, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower activity, wrongful termination, unfair competition, contractual disputes and commercial torts, shareholder and executive disputes, and wage and hour disputes. Ron also manages employment claims under EPLI and D&O policies.

Although Ron regularly advocates on behalf of businesses that ultimately face litigation, he is equally passionate about helping employers stay out of court through his preventative advice and counseling practice. Ron counsels employers on the day-to-day management of their employees, including workplace investigations, employee discipline and termination, severance negotiations, training and development, and other employment-related issues.

Additionally, Ron has previous experience representing insurance companies, businesses, public entities, and individuals in matters involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and commercial torts. Earlier in his career, Ron served as a criminal prosecutor, where he first discovered his true aptitude in the courtroom.
