Farrah I. Ahmed, Esq. is a Senior Attorney of Kahana Feld’s Dallas office.  Ms. Ahmed has over fourteen years experience practicing law in the State of Texas and focuses her practice on professional liability defense, general litigation, commercial litigation, and business litigation. She has appeared before state and federal courts, where she has represented businesses and individuals in cases involving breach of contract, conversion, Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, fraud, negligence actions, professional negligence, conversion, non-compete, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation violations, Texas Theft Liability Act, declaratory judgment, and injunctions.  She has also defended businesses against Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations and general liability claims. Farrah advises clients on a variety of business transactions (e.g., business assets sale, incorporations of business organizations, partnership contracts), commercial/business disputes, contracts (including franchise agreements), commercial leases and subleases, lease negotiations, and debt-collection matters.

Ms. Ahmed has expertly served the following industries: real estate agents and brokers, insurance agents and brokers, title companies, third-party administrators, architects, engineers, construction, IT/technology and software companies, restaurants, bars, cafes, convenient stores, Montessori and daycares, landlords (commercial and residential), auto loan lenders, auto repair, mechanics, and auto-body repair shops, franchises, home healthcare service providers, third-party administrators, and tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarette and vapor/vape retailers, consumer goods wholesalers, and state tax consultants.

Ms. Ahmed achieved her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Southern Methodist University (2005), and her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law (2010). She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow. Fellows of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas.

Ms. Ahmed has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for Texas from 2019 – 2023.

Ms. Ahmed lives in Plano with her wife and two children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her kids’ soccer and baseball teams, watching soccer, cooking and grilling, history, and comedy. She is fluent in Bengali, Urdu, and Hindi.

    RECENT VICTORIES
  • In February 2023, Farrah was part of a trial team that obtained a take nothing defense judgment at trial in favor of an insurance agency in a $66 million claim.
  • In December 2023, Farrah successfully obtained a summary judgment in the Northern District of Texas on a $1.5 million pro se action filed against her client, an auto lender, and a tow truck company arising from an unsuccessful attempt to repossess Plaintiff’s pickup truck, which he had purchased on credit.
