Profile

Amanda J. McKechnie is senior counsel in Kahana Feld’s San Diego office and is a member of the Construction Litigation group. Amanda has over 25 years of experience representing clients in construction defect, business litigation, and complex civil matters. She has defended developers, owners, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors in all phases of construction litigation, such as claims involving project delays, cost overruns, and failure to meet industry standards. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, regional and local businesses, private individuals, and national insurance carriers. 

Prior to joining Kahana Feld, Amanda served as an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Program at the University of San Diego School of Law from 2014 to 2021, where she taught civil litigation. In 2018, Amanda also received the distinct honor of being sponsored by Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy (Ret.) for bar membership into the United States Supreme Court.
