About Michael J. Curtis, Esq.

Michael J. Curtis is an attorney at Kahana Feld's New York office. Mr. Curtis has a strong background in legal research and writing, having first worked in the Appeals Bureau at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, and then as Principal Court Attorney for the Hon. Ushir Pandit-Durant, Justice of the Supreme Court, Queens County, Criminal Term.

Mr. Curtis is skilled at working on high-pressure, time-sensitive matters from his years working on criminal cases in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, specifically, the Homicide Investigations Bureau. There, he conducted investigations into all manners of death including homicides, suicides, accidental deaths, automobile collisions, construction fatalities, police shootings and the like. Mr. Curtis understands the importance of early, active investigation to collect and preserve evidence that could be critical to defending a case.
