Profile

Lars Knutson is a partner in Kahana Feld’s Phoenix office and is a member of the General Liability, Construction Litigation, and Business & Commercial Litigation groups. Lars represents commercial clients and insurers in all phases of civil litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of claims related to complex tort, product liability, professional liability, transportation, and construction matters. He also has experience handling employment litigation related to discrimination and is well-versed in defending foreclosure vendors and brokers in real estate disputes.

Representative Experience

  • Davidson v. Altisource Solutions, Inc. Drafted Rule 11 and Rule 37(c)(1) motion to strike the plaintiff’s amended request for admission answers. The court granted sanctions remedy to reopen discovery based on the plaintiff’s claims raised out of time, resulting in the plaintiff’s voluntary dismissal with prejudice.*
  • Dismissal with prejudice of a third-party design liability and contribution claim at oral argument on a motion to dismiss against a named partner of the firm representing the third-party plaintiff.*
