On April 3, 2024, Kahana Feld’s Co-Founding Partner, Jason Feld was honored by the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) with the Inaugural Volunteer of the Year award.

The CEO of CLM, Ronna Ruppelt stated, “The new CLM Volunteer of the Year award honors dedicated members who passionately serve the CLM community. Jason’s service spans over a decade as both the President and Director of Events for the Orange County Chapter. Under his guidance, this chapter has flourished – not only educating and connecting the CLM community but rallying members to give back to the local community through service events in the process. Jason is also a frequent writer, speaker, and contributor for CLM events, and we are proud to honor him as our inaugural CLM Volunteer of the Year.”

Mr. Feld is a renowned nationwide construction claims leader who actively speaks at industry events. He serves as panel counsel for many prominent insurance carriers and provides personal counsel for multiple national and regional builders, developers, and contractors. With his vast experience and expertise, Mr. Feld is a trusted authority in the field and is highly regarded for his legal representation.

Mr. Feld has been an active and dedicated CLM Orange County Chapter member for over ten years. He served as the Chapter President from 2020 through 2023 and currently holds the position of OC Chapter Director of Events. In addition, he served as the Director of Education from 2019-2020. Mr. Feld has played a significant role in organizing various events, including baseball games, holiday events, and beach clean-ups with the Huntington Beach Surfrider Foundation. He has also been a panelist at CLM Annual Conferences and Construction Conferences and served as faculty for Claims College. Furthermore, Mr. Feld has contributed numerous articles to CLM’s Construction Claims Magazine and the CLM Magazine.

Mr. Feld’s colleague and the recipient of CLM’s 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award, Caryn Siebert, stated, “I was thrilled to be in the audience when Jason’s name was called as the inaugural winner of the CLM Volunteerism Award. In my acceptance speech, I said that one of the reasons I won was that all along my journey, in addition to doing my “job,” I have constantly given back to the community while mentoring others, coaching employees, and connecting people to one another. It is part of why I love my role as Director of Carrier Engagement at Gallagher Bassett, where I work with great colleagues at all levels. I GET to do all of those activities while bringing in new business for our boutique carrier practice and while being a good friend to many.”  Caryn continued, “Jason epitomizes exactly those traits and I consider him a true friend and professional. As President of the CLM Orange County Chapter, he has set up educational panels, written articles, coordinated beach cleaning projects, arranged for Second Harvest events, and holiday parties. I still remember the day during COVID that Jason showed up at my house with items in hand to prepare for a virtual happy hour and meal prep party. Rounding up hundreds of volunteers and raising thousands of dollars is a labor of love. This award is so deserved for Jason and even more special in that it is the inaugural year. He has now set the bar and the stage for others across the industry.”

“So proud to see my friend and former partner in crime with the CLM Orange County Chapter, Jason Feld, win the inaugural Volunteer of the Year award for all his contributions to CLM. Things that I had the distinct pleasure and honor to be a part of with him!” stated Bert Dizon.

True to form, Jason Feld, shared the award with the Kahana Feld Team stating, “A huge thank you to my entire KF family. My success is a reflection of all the hard work of all of you! I couldn’t be more proud that Kahana Feld was recognized by CLM. “

On behalf of everyone at Kahana Feld, we congratulate Mr. Feld for being recognized as the CLM Inaugural Volunteer of the Year for 2024.
