On March 27, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued additional guidance in its “Questions and Answers” for employees and employers on the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA).

The additional guidance from the DOL regarding the FFCRA addresses, among other things, questions as it relates to intermittent leave, whether an employee is entitled to paid leave benefits during a furlough, and the interplay between paid leave under the FFCRA and an employer’s existing paid time off policy.
