Christian von Wupperfeld, Esq.
Practice Group Manager
Christian J. von Wupperfeld, Esq., is the practice group manager and senior attorney at Kahana Feld in its insurance defense, and general liability groups. Christian has litigation experience defending claims involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and construction defects. Through his work, he has successfully obtained dispositive motions, taken numerous depositions, handled cases from its initial assignment to its close and participated in trials. Christian is recognized for his strategic approach to cases and finding creative solutions resulting in favorable outcomes for his clients. He also has more than a decade of experience handling contract matters, including managing more than $2.5B of contracts for a Fortune 50 IT company. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. Western District of Texas.
Christian graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1999. While at UH, he competed on the school’s Mock Trail Team, earning selection into The Order of Barrister’s trial advocacy honor society. He received his baccalaureate degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree from the United States Army War College. In 2018, Christian retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel following 35-years of active and National Guard service, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His awards include the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star Medals.
Christian lives in Cedar Park with his wife and son. He enjoys travel, scuba diving, University of Texas football, attending his son’s water polo games, and long-distance running. He has completed over 30 marathons or ultra marathons. He is active in numerous Veterans groups and his church, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Austin.
