Profile

Blithe Bock is a partner in Kahana Feld’s Los Angeles office and a member of the National Appellate Litigation & Consulting group. With more than 30 years of legal experience, including 25 years with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, she focuses her practice on appellate advocacy and complex civil litigation. Blithe has represented public entities before the California Court of Appeal, California Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court in matters involving employment law, civil rights, governmental liability, and other issues of statewide significance. 

A Certified Appellate Law Specialist since 2011, Blithe is a Fellow of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers. Prior to joining Kahana Feld, she served as Supervisor of the Civil Appeals Division for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, where she led the City’s appellate practice and secured numerous published decisions on behalf of public entities. In addition to her appellate practice, Blithe is an experienced legal writing instructor who has taught at USC Gould School of Law and other Southern California law schools and regularly presents MCLE programs on effective appellate advocacy and legal writing.
