Anthony S. Heck is a Senior Attorney at Kahana Feld’s New York office, licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts as a part of their growing National Appellate Litigation & Consulting Group. From drafting pleadings and discovery to litigating motions and crafting appellate briefs, Anthony is a goal-focused and detail-oriented attorney who defends the interests of his clients through all facets of the legal process, including his invaluable insight when supporting trial counsel with complex litigation and appeals. His dedication to appellate and litigation strategy encompasses his practice in the Appellate Divisions of the New York State Courts and Massachusetts Appeals Court, along with his rigorous diligence and exceptional attention to detail reflected in the precision and quality of his written work, including appellate briefs, trial motions and legal strategy evaluations.

Anthony began his career as a litigator in a small civil litigation and workers compensation defense firm in Boston, Massachusetts to opening and managing their first New York office. As part of his practice, he handled cases from inception to conclusion, evaluating the merits of each matter, determining the best course in the interest for all stakeholders, and executing with precision each step of the legal plan to meet outlined goals and advocate for a position, a viewpoint, and ultimately, a client. These practices have included negotiating resolutions in the millions of dollars to defending and obtaining dismissal of claims through motion practice and oral arguments.

In addition to his legal work, Anthony values nonprofit volunteering, including his board work for Restless Books, as part of their mission in championing essential voices from around the world, and Trust for Public Land, as part of their mission to create parks and protect land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come.
