David Cheng, Esq.

David Cheng is an attorney at Kahana Feld's New York office and a member of the National Appellate Litigation & Consulting Group. Mr. Cheng has an exceptional background in legal research and writing, having previously worked as the Litigation Assistant Attorney General at the New York State Office of the Attorney General for over nine years.

Mr. Cheng has significant experience serving as appellate monitoring counsel on major trials, and has experience conceptualizing and drafting appellate briefs and dispositive and other motions on catastrophic property and casualty matters of all kinds. He is skilled at developing experimental and creative approaches to problematic cases. Mr. Cheng is the office specialist in particularly unusual cases for development of rare or novel approaches. He conducts advanced legal research. Particular experience with the historical foundation of legal and social principles, comparative precedent across legal fields, and issues without precedent directly on point.

Mr. Cheng has Federal jury trial experience. He was awarded the Lefkowitz Excellence in Litigation Award in 2021.
