Carl Katz is a seasoned attorney and entrepreneur who comes to Kahana & Feld from the private business sector after successfully operating several local breweries, advertising agencies and branding & marketing companies in Orange County. Mr. Katz joins Kahana & Feld as Of Counsel in the firm’s business litigation practice group.
Mr. Katz graduated with a J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Japanese Studies. He is admitted to practice in California. Mr. Katz also lived in Japan on two different occasions, including studies at International Christian University.
Christine Dockery is the lead civil litigation Paralegal for Kahana & Feld and is responsible for assisting our attorneys with all state and federal civil litigation matters. Ms. Dockery graduated from Irvine Valley College in 2016 with an Associate of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies in addition to her Paralegal Certificate. Prior to joining Kahana & Feld LLP, Ms. Dockery worked as a paralegal for Hines Hampton LLP. Ms. Dockery lives in Huntington Beach with her three young sons and enjoys attending Los Angeles Kings hockey games and Los Angeles Angels baseball games. During her free time, Ms. Dockery also enjoys camping, hiking, cooking, and watching her boys play sports.

Ms. Olivier graduated from Valdosta State University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and in 2016 with a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Sector Management. Prior to joining Kahana & Feld LLP, Ms. Olivier was an On-Air Radio Personality at Rivers Radio Group WGOV in Valdosta, GA, where she wore many hats including hosting a highly rated Midday Air Show, and acting as the company’s Marketing Coordinator.

Samuel Yu is a seasoned trial attorney with over a decade of experience in business litigation. Mr. Yu is AV Preeminent Rated and a partner at Kahana & Feld LLP. In addition to being the Chair of the Shareholder Litigation practice group, Mr. Yu has extensive experience in labor and employment litigation.
Mr. Yu has successfully represented clients in various business enterprises including telecommunications companies, technology companies, logistics companies, textile companies, real estate brokerages, supermarket chains, non-profit organizations, and small businesses in a broad range of practice areas.
Taylor Gailing is the lead paralegal and office manager at Kahana & Feld LLP. Ms. Gailing is responsible for all paralegal tasks, including court filings and service of process, and is proficient at handling both Superior and Federal Court filings. Ms. Gailing graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in English and Leadership Studies. Before joining Kahana & Feld, Ms. Gailing was the Program Supervisor at South Coast Community Services, TAY Programs, managing the daily schedules of all participants and staff.
